Making Jewellery

The Process; How I Make Jewellery

Each piece of jewellery is handmade with love, care and a delicate hand. When working with such small flowers, I have to be gentle to keep them whole and undamaged. This also applies when arranging the flowers inside the pendant. Some of the flowers that I use to make my jewellery have been hand picked by me, dried and pressed before preserving them in pendants to make beautiful and unique pieces.

First, I place the pendants onto special resin tape to stop the resin from flooding out. I use wooden sticks as handles so my gloves/hands don't get stuck and tip the resin out, the tape is extra sticky (I learnt that the hard way.)

Once the resin is inside the pendant, the flowers and any other items are submerged, this can create bubbles. A heating tool is used to pop these. The resin can change the colour of the flowers every so slightly, which is what makes each and every piece completely one of a kind.

After the pendants are cured, I use a drill to make a hole big enough for the jump hoops to fit through.

Finally once the jewellery has been put together, a stunning and unique peice made with real flowers is complete and ready to go out to my lovely customers, or wear myself, of course!
